Accounting Clerk/Card Services Representative

Full-Time position at Centennial Branch

Salary Range: $13.70-$14.51

Description:
We are seeking a self-starter to support the financial management and operations of the credit union through maintenance of accounting records and reports. Position will perform relatively simple, repetitive tasks within the accounting department and will assist members and the credit union concerning card accounts (blocking, renewing, providing fraud and charge back resolutions).

Duties:
Performs work functions associated with transmissions including completion of posting and exception handling and balancing of suspense accounts.

Performs accounting related duties including posting of daily accounting procedures, performing ACH functions (origination, research) and returns from various products and services.

Provides members with information and direction regarding fraud and charge back issues with their debit and credit cards, including their account status and blocks associated with the account.

Performs supporting administrative tasks within general accounting department including the accounts payable area, investment area, posting of miscellaneous account entries, minor computer functions, performance of wires and assisting within the departments as needed.

Process credit/debit card applications; including ordering cards, system setup, accuracy of cards issued and balances card related reports.

Serves as a back up to assist members with credit and debit card issues such as travel notifications, blocking lost/stolen cards and updating balances.

Qualifications:

Six months to two years of similar or related experience.

A high school education or GED.

Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization, generally regarding routine matters for purposes of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion.

Must be able to operate 10-key calculator by touch. Should know how to use PC spreadsheet software.
